April 15 hearing on update the transportation section of the Sawmill/Wells Park Sector Development Plan

In regards to the recent efforts to update the transportation section of the Sawmill/Wells Park Sector Development Plan, the amendments to the Plan (R-14-86) will have their second hearing at the City Council’s Land Use, Planning and Zoning Committee (LUPZ) on Wednesday, April 15, beginning at 5 p.m. in the Council Committee Room, 9th floor of City Hall. You are invited and encouraged to attend and provide feedback. It is expected that the Committee will move the proposed amendments out of LUPZ to the full Council at this time.

Based on feedback received at the Environmental Planning Commission and since, staff has made several proposed updates to the amendments relating to cut-through traffic in the neighborhood northwest of the intersection of Mountain Road and 12th Street and the network of rail spur rights-of-way in the area. These recommended changes appear in red in the draft document below. This document will be provided to the LUPZ committee for its consideration as an update to the version recommended by the Environmental Planning Commission.
